A Jazz Hour focuses on contemporary jazz from Australia and international recordings. It features contemporary and modern sounds-of-now in jazz from all corners of the globe.
Fridays from 12pm – 1pm with Barry O’Sullivan.
Each week on Fridays at noon, Barry O’Sullivan hosts a studio guest, a local or visiting jazz musician. Together, they play a selection of the guest’s music, influences and favourites, as well as talk about the guest’s career and life.

The Magic Lantern is the moniker of British / Australian singer-songwriter and composer Jamie Doe. Jamie Doe is an artist blurring the boundaries between folk, jazz and contemporary music. Born in Australia before moving to the UK at 12, he performs under the moniker of The Magic Lantern. He has released four full length albums and toured the UK, Europe and Australia.
His fifth album ’To Everything A Season’ was written and recorded in the months following his daughter’s birth and his father’s death six weeks later.
